the seven principle tones of a scale are called the PITCH or SAPTAK. when we sing or play these swaras in order . it is termed as saptak or pitch. they are in a saptak or pitch is order as ( as re ga ma pa dh ni , C D E F G A B )
position of a single sound in the complete range of sound. sounds are higher or lower in the pitch according to the frequency of vibration of the sound wave producing them.
Pitch is the conceptual property of sound that allows their ordering on a frequency-related scale or more commonly, the pitch is the quality the makes it possible to judge sound as higher and lower in the sense associated with musical melodies.
there are mainly three saptak in music . they are as follows.
1-Mnadra saptak
2-Mmadhya saptak
3-Mnadra saptak
1-The higher octave pitch the notes of this pitch are high in pitch or saptak .the frequency of vibration of a note in high saptak is exactly double the frequency of that note in madhy saptak . they resonate in the region of throat and head, a swar in taar saptak can be specified by marking a single dot above the sware in Indian music.
